Financial Support Officer

About the role

This role supports the City's financial operations through accurate processing of accounts payable and receivable, rating, reconciliations, and reporting. It ensures compliance with legislation and policy, maintains financial system integrity, and delivers responsive customer service. The position requires strong attention to detail, sound knowledge of financial procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a high-volume environment.

This role will require the preferred candidate to complete a National Crime Check (Bankruptcy) as part of their pre-employment assessment.

About you

The role requires a Certificate IV in Accounting or related qualification, with at least three years' experience in financial administration and strong customer service skills. A solid understanding of accounts payable and receivable, GST legislation, and reconciliation processes is essential. Your ability to collaborate, adapt, maintain accuracy, and confidently use financial systems will be highly valued in this role!
